Track your nutrition.
Reach your goals.

Photograph a meal or describe it in a sentence. KcalExpose uses AI focused on food and nutrition to estimate calories, protein, carbs and fat, then shows how the meal fits your personal daily target.

Smarter tracking,
simpler results.

Take a photo and add anything the camera cannot see, such as the cooking method, ingredients, brand or portion size. The AI combines the image and your notes to estimate the visible portion and give you a useful nutrition breakdown in seconds.

  • Set your goal

Cut, maintain or bulk. Your age, height, weight and activity level become a daily calorie target and a protein, carb and fat split.

  • Day by day

Meals land under breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. History keeps every day, and a streak builds as long as you keep logging.

  • Deeper detail

See calories and macros at a glance, then go deeper with a KcalExpose score, an AI assessment, meal quality, vitamins, minerals, benefits and points to watch.

  • Private by default

No ads, no data selling. Progress photos never leave the phone, and you can delete your account and everything on our servers from inside the app.

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

Log meals in the way that suits you, follow a target built from your profile and see your nutrition and progress in one clear view.

A target that is actually yours

Setup asks for your age, height, weight, activity level and what you are aiming for — Cut, Maintain or Bulk — then works out a daily calorie target and a protein, carb and fat split to match.

Built in safeguards keep your plan within sensible limits. If a goal would require weight loss that is too fast or a target below a healthy body weight, KcalExpose explains why and helps you choose a safer direction.

Progress you can read at a glance

Log a weigh-in and the Progress tab draws it: total change, this week, this month, your average per week, and a chart with your starting point and your goal line marked. Drag along it to read any single day.

Meals logged on consecutive days build a streak, with milestones along the way. Progress photos are there too — and unlike everything else, they stay on the phone.

Speaks your language

The whole app is translated into twelve languages — English, Svenska, Norsk, Dansk, Suomi, Deutsch, Français, Español, Italiano, Türkçe, Русский and العربية, with right-to-left layout where it belongs.

The analysis answers in the same language. Meal names, the notes on a result and the short summary all come back in the language you set.

Your data. Your control.

The most personal thing in the app never leaves your phone.

Progress photos are about as private as data gets. So we put them in the one place we cannot reach.

Body photos stay on the device

They are stored in the app's private storage on your phone and are never uploaded — not to us, not to a backup. The trade-off is real and we would rather be blunt about it: if you lose the phone, they are gone, and nobody can restore them. Keep your own copies if they matter to you.

Only on your device

Meal photos sync privately

A photo you log is sent for analysis and kept in private storage tied to your account, so your history is there when you sign in on another device.

Requires your sign-in

Not sold, not advertised against

We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build advertising profiles. You can delete your account and everything on our servers from inside the app.

No ad profiles

This website tracks nothing

No cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts while you read — not even a font loaded from somewhere else. Open the sign-in box and Cloudflare Turnstile loads there, and only there, to check that you are not a bot. Your browser stores which language you chose, and, if you sign in to see your own streak, your session until you sign out.

Made for real meals

  • AI focused on nutrition
  • Photo and notes together
  • Adapts to the visible portion
  • Full nutrition breakdown

KcalExpose uses AI focused on food and nutrition. It looks at what is actually visible, considers the portion, and estimates calories, protein, carbs, fat, vitamins and minerals. Add a note such as “fried in butter”, “about 150 g” or a brand name to include details a photo cannot show.

No photo based estimate is 100% exact because a camera cannot know every ingredient or the true weight of a portion. The result is a fast, informed starting point for following meals and patterns over time, not a lab measurement. If you already know the values, you can enter them manually and stay in control.

Want to know how meal photos and account data are handled? Our Privacy Policy explains it clearly in all twelve languages.

Made to be useful: quick enough for everyday meals and detailed enough to help you see the bigger picture.

Built for iPhone. Only for iPhone.

One platform, done properly, rather than three done halfway. KcalExpose is distributed through the Apple App Store.

For adults 18 and over. Some features require a subscription sold and billed by Apple; the price for your region is shown in the app before you confirm. KcalExpose is not a medical device.

Questions worth answering.

Is KcalExpose available for Android?

No. KcalExpose is built for iPhone and is distributed only through the Apple App Store. There is no Android version and none is announced.

Can I track meals here on the website?

No. Every photo, every meal and every weigh-in happens in the app on your iPhone. You can sign in on the start page to read your own streak and totals, but nothing can be added, changed or deleted from a browser.

How accurate are the numbers?

They are estimates from a photo or a description, and they can be significantly off. A model cannot see hidden ingredients, the fat something was cooked in, or what a portion truly weighs. Use them as a guide for spotting patterns, not as a measurement — and edit anything that looks wrong.

What happens to my photos?

Meal photos are sent over an encrypted connection for analysis and saved to private storage tied to your account, so they reappear when you sign in elsewhere. Body photos work differently: they never leave the phone, which also means nobody can restore them if the device is lost. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is stored where.

Does it cost anything?

Some features require a subscription. There is a monthly plan and an annual plan, and the annual plan includes a free trial. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through your App Store account, and the price for your region and currency is always shown in the app before you confirm. See the Terms of Use.

Who is KcalExpose for?

Adults aged 18 and over. Calorie targets and health limits are based on adult reference values, which do not apply to a body that is still growing. KcalExpose is a general wellness and tracking tool — it is not a medical device and does not give medical advice.

Which languages does it speak?

Twelve, in the app and on this site: English, Swedish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Finnish, Danish, Norwegian, Turkish, Russian and Arabic. The app follows your phone's language on first launch, and you can change it in Settings whenever you like.

Do I need a connection?

For the estimate, yes — the photo or the description is analysed on our servers, so a plate cannot become numbers while the phone is offline. Everything you have already logged stays on the device and can be read without a connection.

What happens when I switch phones?

Sign in with the same account and your meals, weigh-ins, goal and history come back — they belong to the account, not to the handset. Body photos are the exception: they are only ever stored on the phone, so they do not follow you. Save your own copies before you hand the old one in.

Email support
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → KcalExpose → Cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Delete account. That removes your account and your data from our servers permanently.
Can I get my body photos back?
No. They are stored only on your device and are never uploaded, so there is no copy anywhere to restore. Save your own backups if you want to keep them.
